In my experience of more than 15 years traditional buddhist meditation focusses too much on the mind by stating that your emotions are created by your thoughts and by liberating your mind also your unpleasant feelings will dissolve. Unfortunately this takes a lot of time and simply doesn't seem to work for everybody. I've seen so many people stuck in their buddhist meditation practice for years without any real progress. That's because many of our "negative" emotions are deeply rooted in our personal history or even in former incarnations.
We can heal those emotions if we can find a way to feel them with acceptance. TAM is your way of doing exactly this by adding one component to traditional buddhist meditation: Healing by feeling.
